What do you do with electronic devices that are dated and may not even work - from cell phones to TV’s to computers - all those things that should not go in the regular trash? giveIT getIT can recycle and reuse most types of electronics that might currently, unknowingly end up in landfills: https://giveITgetIT.org/community-recycling. This includes free recycling of TVs, monitors, laptops, computers, network gear, game consoles - a pile of things, whether reusable or not. If what you have is likely reusable or could contain personal info - to please visit during operating hours, ring the doorbell, and a member of their team will bring those things inside the facility to secure them - prevent damage to them or pilfering as our outdoor drop off is not secure.

Communicate your concern to those that control the waste receiver. Electrical waste should be recycled out of the solid waste/landfill stream (or burning). Some lighting and other products contain hazardous waste such as mercury and it should NOT go to the landfill in Maine, but it does! Anything with a circuit board should be recycled…

- Basic Requirement: Starlink must be working
- Components: All components must be available and in good condition.
- Packaging: Original packaging is great but not required
- Delivery: Drop off, when open at: giveITgetIT.org.
- Contact Information: Name and contact information along with ID’s noted in Steps below.
- Device ID – On Starlink.com Account Portal, click Manage on hardware to transfer. Under Devices, write down Starlink Device ID. Example: KIT300900751. Device ID is also printed on Starlink shipping box.
- Terminal ID – Find Terminal ID - open up Starlink app. Tap Settings, and tap Advanced. Under Starlink section is ID number. Need numbers, not “ut” at the beginning. Example: 01000000-00000000-002c64bb
- Service must be cancelled to complete transfer and all outstanding orders/ statements paid in full. To cancel, go to Starlink.com Account Portal. Click Manage next to service you wish to cancel. Click Cancel Service. Select reason and uncheck box asking if you want to return hardware. Click Confirm to cancel.
- Go to Account Portal and click Manage on dish you wish to transfer. Click Transfer. Confirm you accept conditions. Hardware will be removed from account permanently after you Confirm. Service stops immediately and remaining days in billing cycle are lost.
- Pack all Starlink hardware including dish, mount, Starlink cable, router, and router power cord. Factory reset the Starlink router and any mesh nodes you might include. Factory reset the router and mesh nodes. Unplug and plug in the power 6 times in a row, waiting a few seconds in between each power cycle.
- If you have the original Starlink box, pack all inside. If not, make sure you package or transport hardware in a safe and protected manner. Do not damage any of the equipment, especially the Starlink dish and Starlink cable connectors.
